I liked the first book enough to get this one, but book 2 was needlessly dragged out. I wanted to scream at the characters for how melodramatic they were acting. It became so unbelievable and convenient that I almost couldn't finish. I don't mind melodrama--I find it can make for a compelling and emotional story--but not when it comes from unbelievable actions and motivations. You end up screaming at the characters and saying "C'MON! ARE YOU SERIOUS?"I did enjoy the characters on some level because I wanted to know what happened, and other than them being melodramatic, they were well-drawn out. The plot was pretty thin in this book compared to the first, and the dialogue was a little forced and over the top at times. It was nice seeing the friends make a cameo in book 2, and overall, the storyline wasn't bad. It just could've used a really good editor.

Only For You The Knights of Berwyck A Quest Through Time Book 2 edition by Sherry Ewing Romance eBooks Reviews
This was an excellent read, as in the first book of this series. The story of Katherine and Riordan continues and it is just as good as their first story if not better. I would highly recommend this read as well as the first book in this series. I can't wait for the next book in this series, and I hope it is Fletcher' s or Lynette and Ian's story.
Amazing. This author just keeps getting better. The story the presentation, the characters. I absolutely loved reading this and did not put it down until done. The only downside I can see on this author is the books are not coming fast enough! I do not believe in talking about the characters or the plot but I do believe in saying you will not be sorry for reading this! Best Wishes
I very much enjoyed reading the continuing story of Katherine and Riorden and the challenging road they traveled after their marriage. This book takes up after Ewing's earlier book, For All Of Ever, and lets us know what happens to Katherine - the woman from the future - and her gallant knight, Riorden. And the story throws in a biatch of an ex-lover for Riorden that just won't take no for an answer. I enjoyed seeing the happy couple not only struggle but also show what love can do when someone is Only For You.
This is a great conclusion for the time travel/medieval love story that began between Katherine and Riordan in "For All Of Ever." Do yourself a favor and read "For All Of Ever" first because there is a back story to their meeting and characters which will be making appearances in this book. It will make this book all the more enjoyable.
I'm happy to hear that Lady Lynet will have her book next. I'm looking forward to reading "A Knight to Call My Own." Maybe we will also learn who "Ella" really is. )
This wonderful read by Sherry Ewing is the 2nd of 3 Time Travel Romance Novels. If you're a hopeless romantic like myself, this set of 3 is just what you need. It will lift your spirits, keep you on the edge of your seat, and warm you're heart! This is one Author that I hope writes Hundreds of Medieval Time Travel Romances. She is a Very talented writer, and each book is unique!
Only For You
Katherine de Deveraux, Countess of Warkworth, is still trying to believe her greatest dream has come true; she, a twenty-first century woman is married to a twelfth century knight. Happy beyond measure, she is thrilled (well, except for riding atop Beast) to make her way to her new home – Warkworth – carrying a very special cargo. Warned of Riorden’s memories of the place and what to expect from his stepmother Katherine thinks she is prepared. Nothing could have prepared her for Riorden’s behavior, a person on the brink of insanity or the threat to her life and that of her unborn babe.
Riorden de Deveraux, Earl of Warkworth, couldn’t be happier; the woman he seems to have loved for all time is his wife and she’s expecting his babe. The only mar on his happiness – a dictate from the king demanding he return to the place of his birth and take up the mantle of his birthright; a place he vowed never to step foot into again after the lies and betrayal of the woman he thought he loved and the ultimate betrayal of a father he’d come to hate. Feeling he can overcome these feelings with Katherine by his side he’s not prepared for the length one person will go to get what they want.
Things quickly spiral out of control and events separate Katherine and Riorden. As time passes Katherine makes a decision that will change their lives forever. Can Riorden arrive in time and convince her she belongs with him?
A beautifully written, heart-wrenching tale by Sherry Ewing. She had this reader feeling every emotion Katherine felt; wanting to smack sense into Riorden; murder – yes murder – the source of their conflict and laughing as twelfth century men tried to make sense of twenty-first century women. This is one writer this reader is looking forward to reading more of.
I enjoyed the first book in this series so much that I had to immediately start reading the second one. Because every happy ending can have a few bumps along the way. A note to readers, though, you really have to read For All of Ever first or you’ll miss half the fun. This was a wonderful conclusion to that story, and I couldn’t put it down. Once in a while you run across a series of books where you meet characters whose stories you are dying to read. This is one of those series. In reading this book, I had several characters picked out who fascinated me enough to be begging for their story. And I love the way the author includes the characters from the previous books, really enriching the read. Katherine and Riordan’s story will stay on my keeper shelf for many more reads to come.
